Haskamp Electric was founded in 1967 by Charlie and Mary Haskamp, both lifelong residents of Reading, Ohio. Reading is a small city in Hamilton County located about 12 miles north of downtown Cincinnati.
In the early 1970s, Charlie took on several novice electricians, including his nephew Ed Tierney and his niece’s husband, Keith Brown. When Charlie retired in 1991, Ed and Keith took over the company. Ed retired a few years ago, and Keith now runs the company with help from his wife Diane.
Despite its small size, Haskamp Electric has served residential, commercial, and industrial clients throughout the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area and developed a reputation for quality service, done by trustworthy electricians who take pride in their work. The company’s “advertising strategy” still remains word of mouth (and the local parish bulletin, of course).
This website now exists only because Keith’s daughters insisted the company had to have one, and built it. They’re hoping it counts as repayment for all the electrical sockets, landline phone jacks, and awesome holiday lights he installed for us as kids.
